Rick Hoffman

Mr. Rick D. Hoffman is an instructor with The University of Findlay, an academic partner of the RDPC.

Mr. Hoffman is a veteran firefighter/paramedic with over 29 years active duty with the Lancaster (OH) Fire Department, serving as lieutenant for 8 years. Since 1988, Mr. Hoffman has been a state certified fire instructor and emergency medical services (EMS) instructor.

Mr. Hoffman is a fire training officer for the Ohio State Fire Academy. In addition, he is the chief of the Fairfield County Ohio Special Operations Team, is a member of the State Emergency Response Commission, and is an assistant chief of the Bremen- Rushcreek Fire Department.

Mr. Hoffman instructs confined space rescue, hazardous waste operations and emergency response (HAZWOPER) specialties, with extensive teaching in hospital hazardous materials, and weapons of mass destruction (WMD) first responder needs. He has been an adjunct instructor for the All Hazards Training Center at the University of Findlay for over 10 years.
